faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a
righteous man availeth much.

Mark served on another Kairos prison ministry weekend and I
attended the closing ceremony.
Mica was in attendance also and heard me talking about a prayer group I
was starting. I was acquainted with
Mica from serving together on our first ladies Kairos weekend.
She was excited about joining. Mica and I decided to meet twice a month
because we were experiencing exciting answers to prayer.
Soon that was not enough and we started meeting weekly.
We did some prayer
walking in my community and felt the Lord’s pleasure.
We fasted when we could particularly on prayer day and could not wait
until the next week to share what the Lord had revealed to us!
I discovered that having a prayer partner for me was more powerful than a
group. You are able to move into a
trusting, supportive relationship without fear of being exposed.
If either of us stepped out in ministry we could count on each other to
be prayer support.
I kept a record of the things the Holy Spirit brought forth in
and I discovered the Lord had given us similar prayer burdens.
Ephesians was precious to us both and we spent most of our time praying
over the Body of Christ in general, and our current church homes
specifically. Israel was another
burden close to our hearts. We
prayed over the prayer contacts I had there, and their newsletters.
Certain people or events we read on the Elijah List web site would give
us a witness in our Spirits just about at the same time.
Our excitement would build until we knew the presence of the Lord was
with us. We prayed over family, friends, and each other. If
we were troubled by the end of our prayer time relief was evident.
We would look back over the years and revisit answered prayers. We stayed together on a regular basis
for five years until she moved. We
both matured by praying not just talking or reading about
Thought: The Lord will provide an appropriate prayer partner if
you ask and wait for His timing!
Action: Don’t try to step in and engineer prayer partners, in my
experience it does not work.
